Our Story

Verde Landscaping & Tree Trimming was founded in 2009 by Marcus Hayes, a horticulturalist who started the company with one truck and a belief that landscaping in San Antonio deserved better. Most contractors he saw were planting the wrong species in the wrong places, then leaving homeowners to pick up the pieces a season later.

Today the company has grown to 14 full-time employees including two licensed irrigators, three certified horticulturalists, and a five-person hardscape crew. We have completed more than 500 residential projects across Greater San Antonio, and 65% of our new business comes from referrals from past clients.

What hasn't changed: every project is led by a designer who personally walks your property, draws your plan, and shows up on the final walk-through. The same person who promises something is the same person you can call if it isn't right.
